Inspired by the 60′s book and film Midnight Cowboy, that tells the story of a starry-eyed Texas man who leaves his old life behind to become a prostitute for the rich women of New York; my series discovers ways of (dis)connecting and physical intimacy through fantasies. It is about escapism. Alternative realities and possible futures. Our lives may be restricted in many ways, but our imagination knows no boundaries. Are we happy with just make-believe or would we be willing to pay someone to fulfill our desires, the same way we pay for our groceries to be delivered? What are the lengths we would go to in the pursuit of happiness?
Lately I have been dreaming of Berlin, how my life would be better there. But is that ever the case?
